site update

Corey's Blogging Habits

If you take a cursory look through my site, you'll see that the inane drivel that I occasionally spout my blog posts are sporadic at best. But looking through all my old post (including those on that secret blog that no one knows about), I pattern emerges.

First, I'll start out strong with a "I know I haven't posted anything in awhile but I'm back and I'm going to keep up this time.... YAY Blogging!!!!1!¡!1!¡". After that, I'll keep on a good stream of drivel content for awhile, then slowly start trickling off. Finally, I won't post anything for a few months. Then I start the process all over again.

I guess this is just to say that I'm starting the cycle over again. If you actually swing by this site every once in awhile, thanks. If you just haven't deleted me out of your RSS Reader yet, thanks. If you don't know what an RSS Reader is, I'll have an upcoming post about "RSS for normal people" (title still pending), since it's the best way to keep up with sites that don't post consistently.

Dirty Home

I've been spending my free time working on other sites. I just realized that another site on the Internet was actually linking to my site. Now with the thought of others actually viewing the site, I feel like people are walking into my house after I neglected dusting, washing dishes, and making my bed (which I often do in my home in meatspace).

So without putting up one of those cheesy animated "Under Construction" signs, I'll just say excuse the mess.

Finally Updating

So for those of you on Facebook, you've noticed an abundance of notes by me popup all of a sudden. That's because I'm unleashing my blog out upon the world. It's just a place to let my write things out, and test other stuff. I won't be offended if you never read it again.

I finally had time to update my site. I wanted to use the newest version of Drupal because of all the new features it has, like the theme with a color chooser on it. Don't you like the Christmas colors?

It's nice being out of school for a little while. I have a little time to think before something is due in two seconds.

I'm going to slowly be cleaning up my site as old modules get ported to work with the new version of drupal. I'll probably try to do some porting myself if I can get the hang of their API.

If you don't understand what that means, don't worry... hardly anyone else did, either. Just know that I'm going to have my head stuck in the computer a little bit longer.

Maybe over the next few days, I'll clean up that post about what's been going on lately in my life.
